Hundreds of people of all ages gathered at Veterans Park in Redondo Beach on Tuesday to commemorate Veterans Day as part of the city’s annual service.

The event included a recognition of an American flag mosaic donated by Redondo Beach’s sister city, Ensenada; a keynote speech by Capt. Martin “Tripp” Hardy III; and remarks from city and state officials.

The flag that had flown over Veterans Park since Memorial Day was presented to Felipe Adams, who was partially paralyzed after being hit by a sniper’s bullet during the Iraq War.

Attendees included veterans from every U.S. war since World War II.
