Here’s how Redondo Beach honored military heroes on Veteran’s Day

The Redondo Beach Veterans Day observance Friday at Veterans Park featured keynote speaker Brig. Gen. John W. Lathrop, commander of the Joint Forces Training Base in Los Alamitos, and assistant division commander of the 40th Infantry Division. South Bay Rep. Ted Lieu and Assemblyman David Hadley also spoke at the ceremony, where music was provided by the Redondo Union High School Wind Ensemble and the Los Angeles Police Emerald Society Pipes and Drums. The Redondo Union High School Marine Corps Junior ROTC, the Naval Sea Cadets and the Boy Scouts also participated.
